Article: Reflexology (Foot):

Reflexology is a natural and holistic healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes and zones in the hands and feet that correspond to every part, gland or organ of the body. It is also a focused pressure technique used to dissolve deposits in the body to enhance circulation and normalize organ functioning. This wonderful healing modality has been used by countries like China, Egypt and India for about 2000 to 5000 years. Reflexology was first introduced to North America by Dr. William Fitzgerald, M.D., an ear/nose/throat specialist in 1913. It is a practice that is now widely used in many countries around the world and is being accepted by the public and medical profession as having many therapeutic benefits.

If your body has no congestion in it, that is, it’s in a healthy condition, there will be no tender areas found on the feet. Tenderness indicates that a part of the body is not funcioning properly. It may also indicate there is a build-up of toxins in the body. Crystalline deposits form at the nerve endings in the feet. They denote congested areas in the body and this congestion intereferes with the flow of the blood and lymph in the body as well as causing ailments over time. In order for the blood and lymph to circulate through the body properly, these deposits must be worked out. Compression foot massage (better known as Reflexology) helps to break up the deposits so they become solvent and are carried away with the rest of the waste material in the body. Once deposits are dissolved, the congestion is relieved and blood (and lymph) circulation is improved and often times ailments disappear.

Benefits of Reflexology:-

If interested in a treatment please remember to book your appointment leaving a minimum of one hour for digestion before having reflexology. In other words don’t come to the appointment with a full stomach. All sessions are approximately 60 minutes in length, yet the first session only will take about 1 hour and a half due to taking an intake form assessing your health and any concerns or issues with it.
Also, please come with clean feet as I will be working on them.
